Our ceremonies are held by practitioners trained within a living lineage of the Ancient Magicians, with years of experience working with these traditional medicines. This isn't about putting on a performance. It's about creating the conditions for a ceremony to be approached with intention, presence, and respect. Yes. Towels are provided by Ekumal for all guests.

How often are towels and bed sheets washed?
Towels and bed sheets are washed every 5 days to keep your accommodations fresh and comfortable throughout your stay.

Is laundry service available for guests?
Yes. Guests can do their own personal laundry, and our staff can also assist with laundry if needed. We provide eco-friendly laundry soap, so there is no need to bring your own detergent. Each load of up to 8 kg costs $100 MXN (approximately $5 USD).

How many washing machines and dryers are available?
Ekumal has 2 washing machines and 2 dryers available for guest use. Our staff can also assist with doing your laundry for you if needed.

How is laundry organized for larger groups?
For larger groups, we recommend coordinating the laundry schedule directly with the Ekumal staff once you arrive. Since towels and bed sheets are washed every 5 days, your group can coordinate personal laundry on the days when the washers and dryers are not being used for linens. Our staff will be happy to help coordinate the schedule so everyone's laundry needs can be accommodated without interfering with the regular washing of towels and sheets.

Mosquitoes & the Yoga Shala

Will mosquitoes be a problem in the Yoga Shala?
The Yoga Shala is completely enclosed with mosquito netting, providing additional protection while you are inside.
There is always a possibility that mosquitoes may enter when doors are opened and closed throughout the day, but they are generally less of an issue during this time of year. Wearing mosquito repellent is encouraged, particularly around sunset when mosquitoes can be more active.
